Up to Date

My Weekly Blog

Medicine - Relationships - Life

Announcement: Up to Date

Blogging isn’t something I’ve done regularly before, but one of my goals for this year was to write more consistently, both for my website and for myself. Recently I’ve re-started my schedule of posting travel articles on my website every 2 weeks, but as I was getting ready to start my 4th year of medical school, I thought it might be interesting to write about my thoughts, feelings, and happenings over the course of this last year in school and how everything is different with COVID-19! Thus, I present Up to Date, where I give you a glimpse into my life as it pertains to school, medicine, relationships, family, and more. Why the name? UpToDate is a medical search engine used by practically everyone in the medical field, so I thought it was an appropriate name for my weekly blogs.

Another reason I’m doing this is because a lot of you don’t know about the journey to become a doctor. I certainly didn’t until I started medical school (and honestly, still didn’t know a lot about it until 3rd year). Given all the medical dramas out there, I figured that some of you might want to know what it’s actually to be a medical student in the US! For this reason, I’m also expanding my website to include more articles about life in medicine, but that’ll be coming in a few weeks ;)

I hope you decide to join me every week to hear what I’ve been up to! I will always take suggestions for what to write about, too.

Thanks!
